Apano Meria SCE invites you to our year-around environmental camps.
We aim to bring people who are interested in environmental protection and sustainability closer to nature and to each other, to educate and inform.
The program, depending on the season and the duration of the camp, includes lectures, discussions, workshops, nature activities, tours, excursions and much more.

A three-day camp at the Pomonia Ecofarm, in Apano Meria, Syros.
15 participants will have the opportunity to disconnect from the bustling everyday life, camp under the olive trees of the farm, participate in discussions and workshops, do yoga in nature, tour Apano Meria and enjoy the special biodiversity and the night sky.

Friday:
- Pick up at the port
- Transport to the farm to set up camp
- Light lunch at the farm – getting to know the participants
- Discussion: Environmental Challenges in 2022
- Yoga
- Pick up of participants arriving by evening ferry

- Discussion: Protected areas in Greece – Developments in the legal framework
- Presentation: Project SMOTIES and case study in Greece (Tzoumerka)

Sunday:
- Yoga

- Transport from the farm to the Research Base of Apano Meria SCE
- Discussion: Social Solidarity Economy – Apano Meria SCE – South Aegean Union of SCE Entities
- Creative Workshop: Οbject creation from recycled plastic in the Precious Plastic Lab
- Light lunch
- Transport to Ermoupolis and free time until the departure time of the ferry of your choice
Basic information:
The discussions/workshops will be held in Greek for this camp.
The hiking and boat trip options are dependent on the weather conditions.
The farm has toilets and showers.
Tents are available for anyone who doesn’t have one or can’t bring one.
What to bring with you:
Sleeping bag, long sleeve top and long pants for the evening, closed shoes, sunscreen, hat, swimsuit, towel, yoga mat.
Cost:
100€ per person or 120€ including hiking trip and boat transport
Included: accommodation in tents, transportation within Syros, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), discussions and workshops, souvenir gifts.
75€ per person. Included: all of the above minus the accommodation in tents at the farm
55€ per person. Included: all of the above minus the accommodation in tents at the farm and the dinners
Yoga is paid for with voluntary contributions to the teacher.
Upon acceptance of your application and until 9/9/2022, you need to make a non-refundable deposit of 30€ for the whole program or 20€ for the no camping program or 15€ for the no camping and no dinners program.
