Aim
To offer a participatory, hands-on experience of plastic recycling at festivals and public events, bringing Precious Plastic Syros’ expertise to the general public, with the aim of informing, raising awareness, and encouraging active participation in sustainability.
The step-by-step experience
Introduction to Plastic Pollution
Presentation of the problems caused by plastic and the challenges of recycling. The content is adapted each time to the local reality of the area hosting the workshop.
Hands-on Recycling
Participants sort plastic waste, learn to recognise different types of plastic, and prepare materials for recycling. They then use an injection molding machine to create objects from recycled plastic, under the guidance of our team.
Discussion & Reflection
The workshop concludes with a discussion on the use of plastic, alternatives, and the importance of personal and collective action to reduce waste and promote responsible consumption.

The workshop is suitable for:

- Organisations and event planners who want to offer an experiential and environmentally oriented program
Group size: 5 to 30 people per workshop
Language: Greek or English
Duration: Approximately 1 hour per workshop (up to 2 workshops per day possible)
Material and technical needs: Electricity, table, bucket of water, shaded and wind-protected area
